Thank you for always standing with us in solidarity, in faith, and in hope!

Despite Karim being granted a stay of removal, ICE refuses to release him because they deem him a “threat to public safety.” Karim is ANYTHING BUT and that has long been proven by his community relationships and work in the community, and by the courts! It’s time for ICE to #FreeKarim NOW!
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Use this easy click to call link to call ICE Deputy Field Officer Director John Hartnett, and demand that ICE Free Karim. (If the voice mailbox is full, try again later.)
Email New Orleans Field ICE Office Director Diane Witt[email protected]

Email/Call Script:
My name is ___ and I represent (org/city where you live). I’m calling to demand that ICE releases Karim Golding from the Etowah County Detention Center in Gadsden, Alabama. Since being detained in Etowah, Karim contracted COVID-19 and due to not receiving proper medical care, he continues to face long-hauler systems.

The courts have also granted Karim a stay of removal but ICE refuses to release him because they deem him a “threat to public safety.” Karim is anything but that, and this has long been proven by his community relationships, his rehabilitation while incarcerated for over 10 years, AND by the Courts and a judge. Karim has been separated from his family for over 14 years. He should be free and returned to his family now. I urge you to release Karim from detention!”
